Miniature Paintings
The genre of miniature art is an exacting discipline which is centuries old. Today there are many miniature art societies around the world that exhibit regularly. In the UK. The Hilliard Society and the Royal Miniature Society lead the way, each having the same exacting standards to be adhered to by any artist wishing to submit to an exhibition.
I took up painting in miniature at the start of 2020 and have been hooked ever since. I would stress that it is difficult to gain an appreciation of a miniature from a photograph or a website and would encourage anyone who is interested to visit an exhibition for themselves to see these little jewels up close.
